Enjoy continuous entertainment including the famous dragon and lion dances, martial arts demonstrations, folk and traditional dances, musical performances, Children’s Pavilion activities, Chinese Culture and History Booth, and more.   • ARIZONA ASIAN FESTIVAL December 1, 2018 to December 2, 2018

    The festival connects community with people and culture of Asia and allows attendees to visit educational marketplace booths depicting the life, culture and beauty of Asian communities. It is a unique extravaganza that includes artifact displays and hands-on activities such as a traditional fashion show, Asian cuisine, calligraphy, origami, performances, games and tea ceremony.

    Unique programs include the iconic Avenue of Cultures, student art competition and Children’s Wonderland, as well as performing arts, tea garden for culture demonstration, taste of Asian cuisine, Asia marketplace of arts and crafts, and free Veteran and civic engagement booths.

    The Deer Valley Education Foundation's Teacher of the Year Program is designed to celebrate and honor the contributions of Deer Valley School District's teachers - we want to celebrate and spotlight those exceptionally skilled and dedicated teachers who have gained the respect and admiration of students, parents, and co-workers and who have the superior ability to help students achieve.

    Our District is blessed with many, many teachers who possess all these qualities. Please honor these teachers by nominating them for Teacher of the Year!

    Teachers who are selected as a DVEF Teacher of the Year are honored at a very special award ceremony and dinner at Arizona Broadway Theatre on April 29th, 2019 and receive a cash award.

    Candidates must be HAVE COMPLETED their 5th year of teaching in the Deer Valley Unified School District in order to be considered for Teacher of the Year.

     

    Nominations need to be returned to Marie Brennan, DVEF, District Office, or e-mailed to marie.brennan@dvusd.org by the end of the day on December 11th, 2018. The nomination form is attached. Forms will also be posted on the DVEF web site at www.dvef.org.
