    Minimum Promotion Ceremony Requirements

    • Attending the promotion exercise is contingent upon passing all classes. A yearly average of course grades determines student eligibility. Students must average a grade of “D” or better, in each core subject. It is important that students work hard and do well these last weeks of school. Students must be eligible to participate in these ceremonies. Please encourage your son/daughter to complete all assignments and turn them in on time. We hope that all 8th graders will be successful and eligible to participate in the Promotion Ceremony. Students who may be academically ineligible to participate in the ceremony are monitored through the Counseling Office. Non-participating students will be notified prior to the ceremony.

    • Students must also maintain satisfactory citizenship and behavior. Students may be excluded from the promotion activities due to disciplinary reasons per the discretion of administration.  Attending the end of year promotion events is a priviledge, not a right.

    • Students must attend school on the day that promotion rehearsal is scheduled. We want our students to feel comfortable with their responsibilities during the promotion programs and this practice allows them to become familiar with the ceremony.
