Welcome! A little bit about me below.
I am the Psychology and Sociology Instructor. I recently graduated from Arizona State with a B.S. in Psychology, Go SunDevils! Now working towards my LPC for Mental health and trauma at Grand Canyon University. While at ASU I volunteered and completed a thesis with the Neurotrauma department at Phoenix Children's Hospital/ Barrow Neurological Institute alongside interning at Hospice of the Valley for Bereavement. I was in the behavioral health field for a short time. I was certified as a BHT, and worked closely with SMI population and the Psychiatrist. I provided community resources to assist in coordination for those who needed it. I am excited to be teaching psychology! Psychology is my passion and teaching the importance of self-care, problems with stigmatizing those with mental illness, empathy, and introspection I feel is so important for life after High school no matter where you end up. Although, psychology is my specialty; sociology and cultural differences are major influencers in a persons upbringing. I am thrilled to teach you about the wonderful fields social structure, behavior, and mental processes through the eyes of science. Parents, feel free to contact me through email, or google voice number to the left of this page. Canvas and Remind app are other resources to connect with me.
Thanks for stopping by,
