Lydia Mosley

I am the Special Education teacher for 4th and 5th grade at Anthem Elementary School. Although this is my first year teaching in the Deer Valley Unified School District I have always been a teacher. Since High School I have worked at preschools and taught at Sunday School. I went to Grand Canyon University and received my degree in Elementary and Special Education in December of 2015. I completed my student teaching with Melissa Mendelsohn and learned many amazing skills form her, as well as, many teachers over the years.

In January 2019, I was a long term substitute teacher at Anthem Elementary School with Julie Sprague, Carley Colon and many other amazing teachers. I'm looking forward to starting off this years as a full time Special education teacher in the Deer Valley School District.

My hobbies include Singing, playing guitar and piano and travelling overseas. In the past I pursued Music and Worship in Australia and travelled to many location along the east coast there. I'm excited to be settling back in the states but I will still continue travelling over the summber. I have been to Australia, Fiji, Indonesia, Mexico and New Zealand; I still have Switzerland on my list. If you know of any beautiful locations to travel to I would love to hear from you.

I'm looking forward to getting to know all the students', staffs, and parents' stories. I'm passionate about adding passion, joy and purpose into the stories of others. I love the thought that we are all a piece of the puzzle in someone else's story. I'd love to add you to mine.
