Hello! My name is Pei-Jung Chung (鍾佩蓉). Students call me Zhong Laoshi or Miss Chung. I am the Mandarin Immersion teacher for grades 6-8 this year.

I was born and raised in Tainan, Taiwan. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from National Taitung University in 2014. After that, I worked as a substitute teacher for science and math for a year. In 2016, I moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where I completed my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2017.

In 2018, I was a 4th grade homeroom teacher at a Chinese Immersion school in Minnesota. This is my 6th year at Gavilan Peak Elementary School. For the past 5 years, I've been teaching K-8th grade Mandarin Specials and a 7th grade Immersion class at GP. My goal as a teacher is to help students discover the joy of learning Mandarin each school year!
