EMPLOYEE BENEFITS AND RESOURCES
Deer Valley Unified School District offers a competitive benefits package to include medical, dental, vision, life and disability as well as several voluntary employee paid benefits.
Choose from a variety of medical insurance plans from a Traditional PPO to High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with or without a Health Savings Account (HSA). The HDHP is available at no cost to the benefit eligible employee seeking individual coverage. Coverage is offered through United Healthcare.
Benefit eligible employees have the option to choose from Delta Dental PPO or Cigna Dental DHMO for their dental coverage. Both plans are available at no cost to the employee seeking indiviual coverage.
A low cost voluntary vision package is offered through United Healthcare to all benefit eligible employees. Premiums are based on four (4) tier levels of coverage; Employee, Employee+Spouse, Employee+Child(ren), Employee+Family and are paid via payroll deduction.
The district provides life insurance to all benefit eligible employees who complete their benefits enrollment, equal to one (1) times their annual salary or $20,000 whichever is greater. Additional life insurance may be purchased for the employee, spouse and dependent children under the age of 26 and paid via payroll deduction. Evidence of Insurability (EOi) may be required. Coverage is offered through SunLife Financial.
Short Term Disability
The district provides short term disability (STD) to all benefit eligible employees who complete their benefits enrollment, equal to one (1) times their annual salary. The employee may purchase additional voluntary coverage paid via payroll deduction.
