  • Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Program

    Criteria:  Scholars are selected based upon academic achievement, capacity to lead, and hours of dedicated community service. 

    Award:  250 awards are presented annually with 50 scholarships for $20,000 and 200 scholarships for $10,000.

    Criteria: Any student in grades 5-12 and is a legal resident of one of the 50 states of the United States; has engaged in a volunteer activity that occurred in the last year.

    Award: State Honorees receive $1,000 and an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C ; National Honorees receive additional $5,000.  BCHS committeewill nominate 2 studentsfor state level honors

  • Best Buy Scholarships

    Criteria: Applicants must be high school students 9th-12thgrade residing in the U.S. and live within 75 miles of Best Buy store, have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and have community service or work experience.  Student must plan to enter a four-year institution of higher learning in the U.S. no later than the fall term following graduation.

  • The Jackie Robinson Foundation

    Award:   Through its Education and Leadership Development Program, the Jackie Robinson Foundation provides scholarships of up to $24,000/four years to minority high school students showing leadership potential and demonstrating financial need to attend an accredited 4-year college or university of their choice.

     

     
    Eligibility:
    To be eligible for a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must:

    ·Be a graduating, minority high school senior;

    ·Plan to attend an accredited and approved four–year institution within the United States;

    ·Show leadership potential;

    ·Demonstrate a dedication to community service;

    ·Present evidence of financial need;

    ·Be a United States citizen;

    ·A minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined on the math and critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 21; and

    ·Not possess a degree from a 2 or 4–year College when applying for the scholarship.
