K-3 Reading Intervention
Why should I ensure my child works on reading skills?
- When students have significant gaps in early literacy skills, it can impede learning in all areas. Additional time on foundational reading skills will help your child close the learning gap.
How much time should my child spend working on reading skills?
- Students will receive an hour of instruction per week from the interventionist; which can be delivered in two 30 minute sessions or daily 15 minute lessons. Your campus specialist will communicate the model of service.
How does my child access reading skills support?- Your child will receive instruction from the campus Reading Specialist or Interventionist. Additional work on foundational skills beyond what is provided by the specialist can be accomplished by having your child log into their Amplify Reading Account.
