Dear Families,

Welcome to Pathways  and to my Social Studies class. My name is Mr. Tony Hamilton, and I am excited to be teaching your son or daughter in my class. A little about  me and who I am. I grew up in Paradise Valley and attended Shadow Mountain High School (81) and then attended Grand Canyon College (89) to earn my Exercise Science and my Business Marketing degree. Once completed, I attended Ottawa University and completed my education hours to become a teacher. I also attended University of Phoenix for my Master's in Administration and Supervision (2006).

I have been teaching for 33 years; 28 years in the Deer Valley Unified School District and 4 years in Peoria, prior to coming to Deer Valley Unified. I have coached at high school for almost 38 years; Mounatin Ridge ( football and Varsity Softball (96 - 99) and many other schools and sports in the valley. I recently spent the last 5 years at West Wing as their Athletic Director (Administrator of the year - 2018).

I have 2 wonderful grown adult girls and I am a grandfather of 4 wonderful grandkids. Ranging from 11 years of age to 4 years old. They all attend the Deer Valley Unified School District. I have currently been teaching for the last 19 years at Boulder Creek High School ( World History and Senior Economics). 

I thank you for trusting me in having your son/ daughter and, hopefully, we can have great experience in pathways and to help them succeed with completing their class and being successful.
