Student Government Advisor
My name is Robyn Kreitl and I have been teaching at BGHS for 27 years. In those years, I have taught English, Yearbook, Newspaper, Journalism and I now currently teach media productions and student government. I enjoy working with eager minds, and have seen students create some amazing things over the years. I have a daughter who will be a junior at UofA and a son who is a senior at Horizon High School. During my spare time I love to hike, workout, play with my three dogs, volunteer for K9 rescues, foster and be with my family. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 22 years.
If you are thinking about taking Media Productions you will get to use programs like Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop. Projects include music video, stop motion animation, TV commercial, 5 minute short, annoucnements, PSA, Green Screen projects, sports stories, and much more. I am the advisor for the Media Club and students compete each year in broadcast and film at the state level.
I am also the Student Government Advisor. In this class, students are elected into their posiition. Elections are in April for the next year. Students work on homecoming parade, dance, assembly, dodgeball tournament, powderpuff tournament, prom and prom fashion show, teacher appreciation week, winter and spring assemblies, and spirit decorations around the school. Students also participate in the Disney leadership program as well as other leadership activities and community services.
