  • Bridging online and on campus learning in temporary intervals to support families and students needing a flexible, transitional option - Students Learn in a Virtual Environment with interval transition plans to return to the home campus.

    • This is a short-term option to transition to online learning with a DVUSD teacher for a specified interval and then return back to on campus learning. Instruction occurs remotely with limited exceptions for in-person supports.
  • Description*

    • 5 full days per week for K-12 students

    • Teacher-directed instructional model via synchronous and asynchronous learning using a district online learning platform (Canvas or Google Classroom)

    • Students learn at the same pace and sequence as on-campus students

    • Preventive safety and cleaning measures upon return to campus

    • Three week block minimum for enrollment 

    • Students requiring extended time off campus will be transitioned to Deer Valley Online Academy

    • Attendance tracking daily

    • Schedules for transition (start/stop intervals & flowchart)

    • Registration / opt-in process for families

    • Clear process map for steps to move in and out of the program in designated intervals

    • Social Emotional Learning support included

    • Related Services provided per IEP, 504 and/or Intervention criteria (speech, OT, PT, EL, Gifted, Reading Intervention, etc.)
