• How to Support Your Student During Learning and COVID19:

    • Check in with teachers about your child’s progress to ensure that your children are keeping up with work and accessing all of the options teachers are giving students.

    • Stay in touch with your child’s school counselor. Send them questions via email, or schedule a meeting appointment with your school’s counselor (either virtual, over the phone or in person) to talk more in depth.

    • Encourage your child to read daily. Help your child find content that is both helpful and appropriate to read for pleasure at least 30 minutes daily. This will help with stress and relaxation.

    • Remind your students to exercise daily. Help them find ways to de-stress through self care and exercise. Here is a great resource from CDC

    • Help your student establish a daily routine with a set time for waking up and going to sleep.

    • Allow time in your student’s day for staying connected to friends and check in to ensure your child feels a sense of connectedness to others. Here is a great resource from CDC

    • Encourage your student to write, draw, create art, play instruments, sing, and dance to fuel their creativity! Here is a great web page full of activities you can do with your child.
