Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Amanda Schlueter

My name is Amanda Schlueter (pronounced "shlee-ter"), and I teach World History here at Sandra Day O'Connor.

This is my first year in the teaching profession, but before earning my teaching certification, I spent more than eight years working at the Musical Instrument Museum (Phoenix, AZ) and the Desert Caballeros Western Museum (Wickenburg, AZ).

I was born and raised in Glendale Arizona, where I attended Ironwood High School.  After earning a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Arizona, I continued on with a master's degree in public history at Arizona State University. In my spare time, you'll find me listening to history podcasts, watching Broadway shows, and playing the trombone in the Glendale Community College's Community Band.
