Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Jill Carr

I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Oahu, and lived there for 21 years of my life. I moved to Seattle to finish my bachelors degree at Seattle Pacific University, and then decided I wanted to become a teacher. I moved to Illinois to go to graduate school and obtained my Masters in Teaching from Aurora University as well as a special education endorsement from DePaul. This will be my 14th year teaching, and my second year teaching at Anthem School and in Arizona!  My daughter (Chloe) and I moved here last June to be closer to family and to escpae the brutal Midwest winters. I have taught grades 3, 4 and 5, and I was also a special education teacher for 3 years in both resource as well as a self-contained classroom teacher for kiddos with autism. I have a very special place in my heart for those kids!

I recently purchased a home in Anthem, and am so excited to be a part of such an amazing community! Chloe is a freshman at Boulder Creek High School, and I am so thrilled for her to be attending such an amazing school! We have a very adorable and playful mini goldendoodle named Charlie, and I love to share pictures and stories of him with the kids! :) In my free time, I also manage my own cake business out of my house and have been doing that for the past 4 years.  It is such a passion of mine, and a great creative outlet for me!
