• Reading

Third graders are expected to read 20 - 30 minutes each night.  Research has shown daily independent reading to be one of the most important factors in predicting student success across all subjects.  Please encourage your child to read daily and ask questions about what they are reading.   At the beginning of each month, your child will receive a monthly reading log.  Please fill out the reading log daily and return at the end of the month.

Students should also be practicing their weekly spelling words.  A spelling word tic-tac-toe board will be sent home that will provide a variety of choices of activities your child can do to help them learn their spelling words.

Students will have a daily math homework page to practice and reinforce skills that were taught during the day.  Please turn math homework in each day.  Students can also practice multiplication facts.
