WE ARE WILD ABOUT BOOKS!
During School Year 2021-2022, Stetson Hills' Stallions first through fourth grade will listen to and vote on ten favorite picture books from the list of the 2022 Grand Canyon Reader Award Nominees. Votes will be tallied and sent to the Grand Canyon Reader Award committee for consideration in choosing the winning picture book for 2022.
2022 Picture Book Nominees:
- Between Us And Abuela: A Family Story From The Border by Mitali Perkins (2019)
- Dozens Of Doughnuts by Carrie Finison (2020)
- Fry Bread: A Native American Family Story by Kevin Noble Maillard (2019)
- How I Trained My Dog In 10 Days by Norma Lewis (2020)
- Jasper And Ollie Build A Fort by Alex Willan (2020)
- No More Naps! A Story For When You're Wide-Awake And Definitely Not Tired - Chris Grabenstein(2020)

- Ronan The Librarian by Tara Luebbe (2020)
- There Are No Bears In This Bakery by Julia Sarcone-Roach (2019)

Books read to each class will be tracked on a matrix chart by placing a banana in the corresponding square. Stetson Hills' theme for School Year 2021-2022 is "WE ARE WILD ABOUT BOOKS!" We're expecting "unherd" of responses as our Stallions "run away" with these amazing books!
