National Board Certification is a rigorous process of studying one’s own teaching methods, reflecting on student outcomes, and submitting a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates accomplished teaching according to the National Board Standards and Five Core Propositions. National Board Certification was designed to develop, retain and recognize accomplished teachers and to generate ongoing improvement in schools nationwide. It is the most respected professional certification available in PK-12 education.
