Degrees and Certifications:
Hi Coyotes! My name is Allison Montgomery and I am the 6th-8th grade Special Education ELA teacher. I am also a mom of two Coyote students at Diamond Canyon! We moved to Anthem in January 2021 and are so grateful to be a part of such a warm and connected community! This will be my 13th year in education. I have my Bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies, my Masters in Special Education, Masters in Elementary Education, as well as my Masters in Early Childhood Special Education. I have worked as a foster care advocate, social worker, early childhood special education teacher, Child Find evaluator and developmental specialist, K-5 general education elementary teacher, and K-5 special education teacher. I have also coached High School dance team, Varsity Poms, and choreographed at the collegiate dance level. I danced for the NBA , AFL and collegiate level and have loved teaching dance along the way as well. When not teaching, you will find me spending time with family and friends, doing my peloton, reading, and from time to time blogging, as I am a published writer as well. So teaching ELA is a passion of mine! Some of my favorite authors include Brene Brown and Beth Moore! I am looking forward to connecting with you all this year and building relationship!
