ABOUT YOUR COURSE

 American History

This course will take students through the history of America from its early foundations as British colonies through the beginning of the 21st Century. This class will involve skills development along with an in-depth knowledge of historical events and topics. Students will be able to take the skills and information from this class and apply it to their understanding of the world around them.

 

 

 World History

This course covers Arizona State Standards in World History and introduces students to history and geography and their relationship to economic, political, physical, social, and cultural aspects of modern society.  An outside research project will be required each semester.  This course is required for graduation.

 

HOW TO GET STARTED

American Histroy 1 & 2

Arrive promptly at 6:00pm at the Barry Goldwater High School campus.  We dismiss promptly at 8:45pm.  This course is in-person only.

 

 

Login to Canvas online or with the Canvas app (iOs/Android).

Parents can also login to Canvas to observe classes and student progress. Parents even have their very own app: Canvas Parent.

 

TIPS FOR SUCCESS

Arrive with a good attiude.  Ensure that your devise is fully charged.  Be prepared to work on assignments without the distraction of your cellphone and participate!
