Welcome, Inspiration Mountain Knights!

I'm so excited to be teaching Reading & Writing here at Inspiration Mountain!  It is my goal to explore new adventures in reading and writing, while setting goals based on students' strengths and weaknesses.     

Experience

This will be my 9th year of teaching in Deer Valley Unified School District.  I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor's in Science, Emphasis in Special and Elementary Education.  I began my teaching journey at Park Meadows, where I taught K-6 specialized instruction for a few years, switched to third grade, and had the opportunity to loop up into 4th grade with my students.  Last year I moved to Terramar, teaching Reading, Writing, & Social Studies.  When the opportunity arose to work at Inspiration Mountain I couldn't have been more excited! 

About Me

Michigan is where I was born and raised!  I moved to Arizona many years ago.  I met my husband here and we have raised our three sons here in Deer Valley.  I'm proud to say that I have an N.A.U. and an A.S.U graduate in the family!  Family is extremely important to me.  In our free time we love to explore while mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, and even taking camping adventures.
