About Me

  • Welcome to my classroom.  I will be your Math teacher for the coming year.  I have been teaching in the Deer Valley District since the 2001-2002 school year.  I taught 3rd grade for the first two years in the district and 6th grade since then, except for a short one year stint as a 5th grade teacher.  For most of that time I taught all subjects.  I have my education degree from ASU.  My interests varied in college and my studies took me in many directions, including Graphic Arts, Photography, Engineering, Architecture, and Microbiology.  Teaching is where I felt I could put my varied interests to use and I graduated from Arizona State University in 1996 with my B.S. in Elementary Education.
     
    I have been married for the past 20 years, have a wonderful 16 year old son and am gearing up to begin my 22nd year teaching here in the Deer Valley Unified School District.
     
    I hope you are ready and excited to begin another year of learning.
