Life is full of adventures and education helps you prepare for what may come your way.  I have been on many adventures in my life, from teaching 2nd grade in Los Angeles to running my own after-school theater program for 9 years. I am excited about beginning this new leg of the journey at Desert Sage as the ELA and Social Studies teacher for the 4th grade Mandarin Immersion program.  

I grew up in Virginia and my favorite book in 4th grade was The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Today, I am still an avid reader as well as a lover of performing arts, crafting and hiking with my family. My husband and I have two children as well as two dogs and we love traveling as a family while trying new things together.  

I see each child as an individual with their own unique view of the world.  I love working with children and learning to see things from their perspective while giving them the opportunity to grow and learn about the world around them.
