Mr. Leckliter will be providing academic support to sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students this year.
Response to Intervention (RTI) is an educational process designed to provide students with additional academic support, strategies, and skills. By monitoring student learning and progress, educators are able to see which students would benefit most from additional academic support.
Through the use of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), educators are able to provide systematic, continuous improvement through a framework that focuses on the positive educational experiences and outcomes of all students. Like RTI, MTSS is not a specific program. It is a way of thinking and learning that utilizes high-impact, evidence-based pedagogical practices to ensure every student receives the appropriate level of support needed to be successful in school. This may include: academic programming, small group lessons, classwork support, and/or homework support.
