Let me start by stating that I am excited about joining the middle school staff here at Diamond Canyon. This year I will have the privilege of working with sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. My role will consist of providing additional academic support and strategies to students in mathematics and reading.  Providing students with the strategies and skills to improve their reading and mathematics abilities is, and has always been, a passion of mine.

I have 16 years of experience working in the field of public education, and over 30 years of working with students. During this time, I taught second through eighth grade students, as well as at the collegiate level for the University of Phoenix. I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Education from Arizona State University.

I have been married for 30 years, I have three grown children, and four grandchildren.  I am extremely proud of my family.  Some of my favorite activities are playing golf, reading, and traveling.  However, my favorite thing to do is spending time with family and close friends.
