My name is Lisa Schwartzstein and I am very excited to be joining the staff at Canyon Springs. I am originally from New York City and have been teaching for 28 years. I attended Arizona State University for my undergraduate degree and earned my masters from Long Island University. I love being a teacher and consider myself very fortunate to have a career that makes me truly happy and also enables me to help others.

I have been married to my husband Matt for (almost) 21 years and we have two children. My daughter Piper is going into 8th grade, and my son Andy is going to be a junior in HS. We have three dogs named Indiana, Marlee, and Pepperoni, and a tortoise named Jeff. I am an animal lover and support local rescues whenever I can. When I'm not at school (or planning for school), I enjoy reading, growing plants, gardening, and making jewelry. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of teaching and learning.
