Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Quilente

I am an Arizona native and grew up in the Peoria area. I received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. Just like my students, I am continuing to further my education towards my Masters at University of Phoenix. My journey in education began in 2017 as a Middle School Math teacher. Although I loved teaching math, my true passion was always art. I attended college to become an art teacher and I am dual certified in both Math and Art as well as Secondary Education. While I was a math teacher, my spare time was dedicated to creating at home in my art studio. I enjoy all mediums: drawing, painting, and even silversmithing, but my favorite is ceramics. I am grateful to be a part of the Skyhawk family this year and to combine my two passions: art and teaching. My goal for this school year is to have a safe and educational learning environment for my students to feel free to express their creativity and be proud of their artwork.

Growing up in Arizona I have learned to love the heat. In my spare time I love to go four wheeling with my family and explore new places. On my weekends and breaks when I am not traveling, you can find me at a local thrift shop or art gallery.
