  • Dear 6th Grade Families,
     
    Welcome to Mr. Fasula's Social Studies Page!!!
     
    Currently, I am in my 25th year of teaching in the Deer Valley School District, 22 of which are in the 6th Grade. I am honored to continue my career as a Sierra Verde Viper! I have a passion for World History and am excited to explore ancient civilizations with your students.
     
    I graduated from NAU with Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education in 1999, and later in 2005 with a Master's in Educational Leadership. Go Lumberjacks!
     
    During my summers, I enjoy traveling with my wife of 22 years and spending time with my children, ages 12 and 11. These past few years we have been exploring national parks. Some of the highlights would include Glacier, Rocky Mountain, Redwood, Zion, and most recently Great Smoky Mountains. This past summer, my wife and I had the opportunity to take a bucketlist trip to Europe and spend two weeks in Italy. It was amazing to see firsthand some of the places about which I have spent the past two decades teaching and I plan to  bring those experiences into the classroom.
