My name is Florence Montierth and I am pleased to be teaching 7th and  8th grade science this year to your student.  I taught AVID as a substitute starting 2021 at DVMS and loved the students I met.  My teaching career began back in 2000 and I had the opportunity to teach Biology, Earth Science and Math and then I took a break to have kids.  I'm excited to work with the younger students to help prepare them for high school. 

I have a family of 4 kids, my oldest being a sophomore at Deer Valley High school and my youngest is in second grade at Greenbriar.  As a family, we've made the love of learning a lifelong family goal.  As such, we study cultures and history and travel to see those places.  We've been all over the United States, part of western Canada and Mexico City.  I've travelled solo to Australia and China.  My personal hobbies are reading, playing the piano, dancing and any new interests that take my fancy.
