Hi, my name is Jeff Kalk. I am very happy to be starting my first year at Hillcrest.  I have 27 years of experience teaching physical education and coaching.  I grew up in Waukegan, Illinois, where I started my teaching career.  I graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.  After moving to Arizona in 1998, I taught on the south rim of the Grand Canyon.  For the past 20 plus years, I have been teaching across the Phoenix area in grades ranging from kindergarten to high school seniors.  On a personal note, I am married with two daughters and two step-children.  I am excited that both my daughters will be graduating from college within the next school year!  I enjoy all things outdoors and working out.  My goal in the near future is to have a lake house where I can spend my time teaching my grandchildren to fish.
