• Welcome to 7th Grade ELA! This year, students will complete 4 major units of study. A general outline of the course is as follows:

    Major Units of Study:

    1st Quarter: Fiction, Reading Literature, & Narrative Writing from August - October

    2nd Quarter: Non-Fiction, Informative Reading, Informative Writing, Speaking, & Listening from October - December

    3rd Quarter: Fiction & Non-Fiction, Informative Reading, Argumentative Writing, Speaking, & Listening from January - March

    4th Quarter: Fiction & Non-Fiction, Informative Reading, Argumentative & Informative Writing, March - May

    A list of the novels we will read throughout the year will be sent home with a permission slip to be signed by Parents/Guardians by Week 3 of class.
