Educational Facts
This is my 13th year in the Deer Valley School District, my 2st year in sixth grade, and my 23rd year in education. I received my Masters in Educational Leadership in 2011 from Northern Arizona University and my Bachelors in Education in 2001 from Arizona State University. Prior to coming to Terramar, I taught one year of 6th grade ELA at Constituion, 6 years of fourth grade ELA and Social Studies at Las Brisas Elementary, and five years of special education in Deer Valley, and special education at a private school in Phoenix for 9 years. I hold certifications in elementary K-8, special education, and Principal K-12.
A little about me
I was born in Sewickley, PA and moved to Arizona with my parents (I am an only child) when I was 15 years old. I have been married to my husband, Lance, for 21 years. We have two boys, Max 14, who is a 3rd degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, and Zack, 15, who is a video game and technology expert. They keep us very busy. I love crafting, gardening, swimming, and four-wheeling in my jeep.
