Tips for Success

3) Do your work during the given time in class.

DVUSD Pathways Course is an "in-person" learning experience.

Students are expected to arrive on time with all materials (if possible):

- Pencils 

- Erasers

- Folder

- District Issued Technology 

Students are encouraged to ask questions, participate in discussions, and complete assignments daily prior to the end of our class (No homework). 

This is a 7 week course with 2.75 hour classes equivalent to a 16-week semester. All students must attend class each day. 

We meet at Barry Goldwater High School January 13th to February 27th on Monday through Thursday.

Algebra 1-2  is the foundation to a student's high school math career and is the pre-requisite course to ensure students are on track to complete next level math courses necessary for graduation.

My name is Michael Dingman. I have been teaching for 10 years now. I have taught 3 years in rural Alaska and the last 7 years have been in Arizona. I have experience teaching from 6th grade math to pre-calculus. I currently teach at Barry Goldwater High School where I am health and physical education. At Goldwater, I am also the Head Freshman Football Coach.

In my free time, I enjoy being active - working out, hiking, playing sports - and spending time with my family. My daughter is in 3rd grade and my wife of 10 years is also a teacher.
