ABOUT YOUR COURSE

American History

This course will take students through the history of America from its early foundations as British colonies through the beginning of the 21st Century. This class will involve skills development along with an in-depth knowledge of historical events and topics. Students will be able to take the skills and information from this class and apply it to their understanding of the world around them. This course is required for graduation.

World History

This course covers Arizona State Standards in World History and introduces students to history and geography and their relationship to economic, political, physical, social, and cultural aspects of modern society.  An outside research project will be required each semester.  This course is required for graduation.

Government

This one semester course provides an understanding of the American Government system. The historical and philosophical origins, its constitutional foundations, the basic institutions and their functions. Along with how citizens exercise influence within the system including special focus on the importance of citizen participation. This is a required class to graduate.
