Parent Involvement

Parent-Teacher-Student Organizations

Research shows that when parents and other caring adults are involved, students achieve more. That's why DVUSD is committed to reaching out and involving parents and the community in its efforts to make a difference for all of our students and their families.

A great way to volunteer is to get involved with your child's school PTA, PTSA, PTO, or volunteer opportunities. Get more information at each school's website:

Additional Programs

Annual College & Career Fair
Open to all DVUSD high school students and their parents, this event, featuring a wide range of colleges, schools and businesses, is designed to assist students in planning for the future. The College and Career Fair will be held at the DVUSD District Office located at the northwest corner of 15th Ave and Loop 101. The Deer Valley Education Foundation is the event sponsor and will be providing door prizes including three lap top computers! Check back for more specific information as the event gets closer.

Volunteerism
If you have not attended one of the district sponsored volunteer training sessions, please plan to do so now. All parents and other caring adults who volunteer must complete "Basic Training" prior to volunteering. All sessions are open to all volunteers, so feel free to choose the session that best meets your needs. Contact your local school for additional training opportunities.
