Please note: high school boundaries will NOT be affected by the Long Range Planning committee in 2026. The focus is on K-6, 7/8, and K-8 schools now.

Your voice is essential in shaping the future of the Deer Valley Unified School District. We are inviting you to participate in a survey that will guide both our long-range district planning and the development of budget priorities for the 2026–2027 school year. Your feedback ensures that district decisions reflect the values, needs, and perspectives of our community.

The first survey section supports the next phase of the district’s Long Range Planning process. In the initial survey administered last month, parents and guardians responded to an open-ended question about what matters most when considering school attendance area and boundary planning. Those responses have been analyzed and grouped into common themes. This follow-up survey now asks you to rank these themes in order of importance, helping the district better understand community priorities as we plan for future growth and resource alignment.

The second survey section focuses on gathering input for the 2026–2027 Budget. Similar to the first Long-Range Planning survey, this budget input survey asks an open-ended question inviting you to identify from your perspective what you believe should be the district’s top budget priority for the upcoming school year (2026-2027). These responses will be reviewed and summarized to develop a ranked-choice budget survey, which will be shared with families after winter break.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspectives. Your participation is vital in helping Deer Valley maximize and balance resources across the district, ensuring continuity and excellence in the educational experience for every student."

This survey will close at midnight, December 19th.
