Teacher Preparation Program
The Teacher Preparation Program is a state-approved, alternative pathway to teacher certification in Arizona. Designed to empower aspiring educators, it combines research-based coursework, hands-on classroom experience, and personalized support to build the skills and confidence needed to succeed.
Participants serve as fully appointed teachers in Deer Valley Unified School District while completing certification requirements over two years — all at no cost.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in any field

IVP Fingerprint Clearance card

Apply for a certified teaching position via the DVUSD website

Complete program application and interviews

Joining TPP is as easy 1-2-3!
1. Apply for the Spring Cohort of the Teacher Prep Program by completing The Rise Track Program Application .
2. Apply for a position with DVUSD through Winocular. If you do not already have a Winocular account, you will need to register as a new user.
3. If you are selected to interview for a position, you will be contacted to set up an interview and complete the necessary paperwork. Please make sure you have your transcripts on file with the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) and your fingerprint clearance card. Your fingerprint clearance card can be obtained by setting up an appointment with Arizona Livescan.
