REQUIREMENTS AND REGISTRATION
(All requirements must be met prior to volunteering.)
1. Attend Volunteer Training
Refer to the calendar or contact your campus Volunteer Coordinator for available sessions.
2. Complete Registration Form (QR Code provided at the end of training.)
Submit the form before leaving the training session.
3. Annual Registration Required (Annual QR Code will be available at the campus.)
ALL volunteers must complete yearly registration with their campus to remain active.
*Former Employees, Retirees and Substitutes are NOT excluded from training and requirements.*
Additional Requirements for Volunteer Coaches (Familial and Non-Familial):

Non-Familial Coach Volunteers must complete a DVUSD Volunteer Application and Reference form and submit to campus Volunteer Coordinator before leaving training.

ALL Volunteer Coaches must complete Coaching Certifications (This information is provided by campus Athletics Department.)

Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card while you are an active volunteer. IVP Card must be in hand and copy provided to campus.
Additional Requirements for Non-Familial Volunteers:

Must complete a DVUSD Volunteer application and reference form and submit to campus Volunteer Coordinator before leaving training.

Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card while you are an active volunteer.

This includes former employees and retirees.

AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Required For:

ALL Overnight field trip chaperones (participants must be 21+).

ALL Volunteer Coaches (prior to campus involvement).

ALL Non-Familial Volunteers.

ALL volunteers in sensitive student areas (e.g., backstage, dressing rooms). This includes Band, Choir, Drama etc.
AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Exemptions:

Active-Duty Law Enforcement Officers

Active-Duty State and Federal Agents

Active-Duty Military

These Volunteers must present current badge to campus Volunteer Coordinator
Note: Exemptions do not apply to First Responders (Firefighters, Paramedics, Nurses or other non-law enforcement personnel.)
