Meet Mrs. Fraley My name is April Fraley and I am excited to be the new Principal at Canyon Springs STEM Academy. I have been fortunate to have been a part of the Canyon Springs family as the Assistant Principal for the past two years. It is truly an honor to be a part of such an amazing school that is full of wonderful students, staff, and families that work together to achieve success.
My passion for education has been shaped through my 15 years in education as a parent, teacher, mentor, coach, and administrative experiences. I began my teaching career in the Cartwright School District, where I taught K-3 rd grade. It was during this time that I was also the soccer coach for 6th -8 th grade students. After moving to Anthem in 2009 with my family, it was then that I realized just how incredible the Anthem community was and decided to continue my educational career in Anthem. I moved to Deer Valley Unified School District and worked at Anthem School as a 2nd and 5th grade teacher for five years. I coached Cross Country, led the Yearbook Committee, and mentored teachers on campus.
I began my administrative experiences at Esperanza and Park Meadows School in Deer Valley. I am very excited to be back “home” in Anthem and continue to give back to the community that has helped my family grow. I am eager to continue to get to know your children, learning their personalities, and their interests. It is important to always celebrate success, both small and large. I will continue to encourage students daily to ensure that they understand that they are truly valued and hold a special place within our school community.
