K-8 Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Specialist
Mrs. Katie Baker, M.Ed.
After spending 25 years in the classroom and 8 years as the district's K-8 Math Coach, I consider it a privilege to transition into to the role of K-8 Math Specialist. I am an Arizona native and an ASU graduate. My roots run deep in the Deer Valley Unified District. As a Deer Valley High School graduate, by way of Park Meadows and DVMS, I believe deeply in the systems and community we have built here in DVUSD.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, cooking, and cheering on Arizona sports teams! For 36 years, my husband and I have enjoyed exploring the hiking trails throughout our beautiful state.
I feel so fortunate to do what I love every day, and it is truly an honor to serve and support the teachers, students, and families of DVUSD.
