Digital Citizenship
Digital Citizenship at School
Digital citizenship lessons are delivered to DVUSD students in each grade, K-12. The lessons utilized in each grade address digital topics relevant to the specific age level and satisfy district compliance with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requirements to provide instruction on internet safety and appropriate online behavior. The district's selected lessons are part of Common Sense Education's Digital Citizenship Curriculum, designed to prepare students to navigate an increasingly digital world. Digital citizenship lessons are typically taught during the first quarter of social studies instruction, with concepts reinforced throughout the year.
