Deer Valley Unified School District's Community Education Department offers an Arizona Department of Transportation approved Drivers' Education program for high school students including behind-the-wheel training for students that are at least 15 years, 6 months of age. Students must have their driving permit in order to receive behind-the-wheel training. In addition, students must currently be registered in and attending an Arizona high school. Students who successfully complete the program, which requires 100% attendance, will receive a Certificate of Completion and the MVD system will be updated electronically once the student has passed all required skills. This fulfills the state requirement for the Graduated License, usually exempting the student from being required to take the road test with an MVD examiner.
The program is offered several times throughout the school year and also during the summer. To register, simply click on the RED direct registration button above or click here for online registration. For more information, please contact (623) 376-3923 or email community.education@dvusd.org.
