Wellness Policy & Committee

DVUSD updated its wellness policy in February 2019. The committee is always seeking additional members from the DVUSD community and would like to invite anyone who is interested to join us. The committee meets four times per school year.

The committee is made up of nutrition professionals, teachers, district administrators, school nurses, parents, wellness advocates and community members. This group works together to develop the district wellness policy, plans for the implementation and evaluation of the policy and reports the progress on the policy to DVUSD community members.

Anticipated Time Commitment

In order to facilitate the most consistent and productive committee possible, members are asked to attend a minimum of two meetings per year. Each meeting will run approximately 90 minutes. In addition, there is the possibility for subcommittee work between scheduled WPC meetings.
