DVUSD Drivers are Tops in Arizona!
After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Arizona Association for Pupil Transportation (AAPT) held their long-awaited annual School Bus Safety Road-eo on March 11, 2023. The Deer Valley transportation team competed against 75 drivers and earned three of the top ten finishes, including first place in the state!
Wesley DeWitt, a former DVUSD student, took home first place out of all the bus drivers who competed, representing districts throughout the state. Valin Groat showed his skills with an impressive fourth place finish, and rounding out the top ten finishes was Jordan Doering in tenth place.
2023 wasn't the first time DVUSD drivers took home hardware for being the best in the state. Check out the pictures below for past award-winning performances.
