  • Graphic Design Course Description

    A total of two (2) elective courses will teach graphic design/visual communication techniques in the Adobe Creative Suite. Included are Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Students are challenged to apply the methods and concepts to create effective designs for logos, print design, web design, and much more. This program prepares students for careers as production artists, graphic designers, and multimedia designers within a ever-growing and diverse industry. 

     

    Advanced Graphic Design

    This project-based course applies the graphic design methods and techniques learned in the introductory and intermediate classes. The course consists of ten (10) projects that span across the entire year. Students will work alone and with each other to design for client's communication needs. This third elective design course will help build a collection of portfolio pieces for the student's use when seeking out college programs, intern opportunites, and careers in graphic design.

    These courses follow the Arizona State Career and Technical Education Program (CTE) standards.
