• Dear Students and Families,                                                   April 1st, 2020

As I am sure you are aware, DVUSD has transitioned to Home Learning for the remainder of the school year. This is a new format for all, and as your teacher, I have been busy learning lots of new ways to help you stay connected from home.

I miss every single one of you, and would much rather see you in person. We will get through this together. In an effort to keep you learning, I will be working with your homeroom teacher to support you through this time.

I have also set up office hours via ZOOM so that you can reach me with any questions you may have or if you just need to talk. (STARTING APRIL 6th)

    Office Hours:

Click here to go to ZOOM

Password will be emailed and on Homeroom teacher's Google Classroom account

As we embark on this journey together, please do not hesitate to ask questions, give feedback, and let us know how you and your family are doing. Please take care of yourselves and be safe and healthy! You are missed!

    With much teacher love,

    Mrs. Douglas

    Stay Golden!

  • Hello Parents and Vikings!

    Mrs. Douglas

    Special Education Teacher   Math

    Grades: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th

    Hello Families, Parents, and Students!

I am Mrs. Douglas and this is my first year teaching special education at Village Meadows Elementary School.

I am a member of the Student Support Services team and serve as a special education teacher and service coordinator for students in 4th and 6th grade. I service students in grades 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th, as well as help in the Learning Center with students ranging from K-6.

As part of the student support service team, my job is to provide special education services based on individual needs of the student through an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). This plan is developed by a team, including myself (special education teacher), the student, parents, school district professionals, and outside agencies when applicable. Services are delivered in the least restrictive environment (LRE) and are dependent upon the student's individual needs. Our campus offers a various supports and services to ensure that every student's needs are met to the best of our abilities.

Please feel free to contact me at any time by phone or email and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Go Vikings! Be strong and courageous!
