21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) is a five year federal grant that was awarded to Village Meadows in 2019.
This program is designed to be an intensive, but fun, academic intervention for targeted students who would benefit from this type of service. In addition to the academic program the students also have an enrichment component which helps the student grow as a caring, respectful, and kind person.
The selected students that participate in the before/afterschool program are based on student academic scores. When looking at the data, we will also look at family trends to ensure all students meeting the 21st Century Grant and their families will be invited to participate in the 21st CCLC program. A “scholarship letter” is sent to parents and students inviting them to participate in the 21st CCLC program.
This is as a positive, interactive academic/enrichment opportunity for students to master grade-level or enrich skills and for parents to expand their knowledge of their child’s education by participating in family activities.
