Ms. Smones is new to Mirage this year, although not to DVUSD. She is a puppy loving, camping enthusiast and former rugby player. She believes that education should be fun and exciting, tapping into student’s interests. Moving from Boise, ID to Arizona 17 years ago she considers herself a native Arizonian. She is a former Lumberjack, graduating with her bachelors degree from NAU, then continuing her education by earning two master’s degrees. She is married with three dogs. They enjoy outdoor activities and playing board games together. Don’t entice her with a game of Bananagrams unless you’re up for a challenge!
