Meet the Teacher - Fall 2020
-
I am excited to begin my 24th year in education and being with the Deer Valley Online Learning Program! Prior to teaching online, I taught Algebra 1-2 and 3-4 at Sandra Day O'Connor High School for five years. Prior to that, I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grades in the Pendergast School district as well as 9th grade Algebra in the Tolleson Union High School District. The last three years with TUHSD I was an Instructional Math Coach working with Algebra 1 teachers on multiple campuses. This year will be my fourth year here at O'Connor High School. I earned both my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Master's degree in Educational Leadership through Northern Arizona University.
My husband and I recently celebrated our 21st anniversary, and we have two amazing daughters. Crystina wil be attending ASU West this year to study forensics, and Mackenzie will be a sophomore in high school. Family is everything, and I will always do what I can to support my students and their families as well.
