• WELCOME TO MATH!

    Mr. Todd Couchon

    Greetings Online Students and Families:

My name is Todd Couchon and I will be your geometry teacher this semester. I have been teaching middle school math in the district since 2005, most recently teaching 8th grade math at Sierra Verde Stem Academy. I love teaching math, equally as much as I love learning new things about teaching math. I want my students to see the logic and beauty - yes, the beauty - of math and how many of these abstract concepts play a role in our world. I have a Masters in Educational Technology from NAU, so you will use a number of  online resources in my courses (Quizizz, Desmos, Geogebra, more) to both enhance your learning, and to demonstrate your understanding of the concepts I teach.  In my spare time, I like to play hockey and softball (at least I did before Covid-19), build Lego sets with my children, and work in my very demanding backyard. It should be noted that I am from Rhode Island, still have the accent after 20 years (yeaz), and am a HUGE New England Patriots fan. And I am rooting for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as long as Brady is there. My goal this semester is to help you pass, but even more so to get you to appreciate the beauty of geometry. It ALL MAKES SENSE, and is an incredibly helpful tool to help us understand out world. I look forward to working with you!
