P- Practicing Respect
A-Accepting Responsibilities
W-Working Together
S-Safety Matters
Positive Behavior
At Sunrise, we encourage positive behavior by recognizing and rewarding appropriate behavior every day. In our classroom I establish clear expectations and regularly pre-teach expectations during lessons to ensure that students understand how to be successful.
Disruptive Behavior
If a student is not meeting our class expectations, he/she will receive a verbal warning. Generally, students are able to self-correct disruptive behavior quickly. However, if the disruptive behavior continues, a phone call home and/or conference will be scheduled.
We will be using ZONES of Regulation this year. This is a great curriculum designed to foster self-regulation and emotional control.
